All of our stainless steel angle seat valves are equipped with enclosures and fittings in accordance with the ASME SA351 / 351M Grade CF3M standard, which is the name given to Alloy Casting Institute cast steel AISI 316L (it is normally used as a forging material). The ACI designation is used by various organizations, such as ASTM uses (e.g., ASME B 31.3 for stainless steel blanks, appendices B and D for recommended materials for valve manufacture). Our cast steel AISI 316L has a minimum content of 10% nickel, which gives improved toughness and strength. This type of stainless steel can be compared with the European standard EN 1.4409. All of our stainless steel components have a casting number that identifies the composition of the material. This information is listed in the cast certificate 3.1b, which can be ordered along with the valves for a small additional charge.
