Instead of an anchor, these microvalves have a plate that rests on the magnetic core in the switched state when the valves are normally closed. This anchor is called a plate anchor and is fastened on a form spring element. On the plate anchor is the seal, which is pressed against the valve seat when the coil is turned off and seals the microvalve. Plate anchor valves are characterized by their virtually friction-free movement due to their long service life and - due to the low mass of the armature - fast switching times in the ms range.
